Dr. Joshua L. Penner is a graduate Cum Laude of the prestigious Western States Chiropractic College in Portland Oregon, and holds both a Bachelor of Science degree in human biology and a Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree. Dr. Penner comes from previous experience in private practice in the Seattle area, and brings with him a depth of knowledge about the latest techniques in scientific, evidence based chiropractic care and spinal rehabilitation, a firm belief in the healing power of the human body and an unwavering commitment to the health of the Magnolia area community in Seattle.

Born and raised in southern Alberta near Calgary, Dr. Penner grew up skiing and snowboarding down the epic slopes of the Canadian Rockies near Banff and playing competitive sports in high school and college including basketball, baseball, badminton, volleyball and hockey. His love of life and movement has resulted in a vibrant lifestyle, and when he is not treating patients you can find him playing basketball or volleyball at the Magnolia community center, or enjoying a run through Magnolia’s own Discovery Park, one of the biggest and best parks in all of Seattle!

Tai has been a vital part of the MCM team since we opened our dorrs in 2010. Tai is an incredibly talented massage therapist, one of the best in the city! Always putting her clients’ comfort first, she makes each massage both therapeutic and relaxing. A graduate of Body Mechanics School of Myotherapy and Massage, Tai has an innate ability to understand each individual’s specific needs. Specializing in injury treatment, Tai finds the visible improvement and positive effect on her clients’ lives to be the most rewarding part of her job. Born and raised in Yakima, Tai attended Washington State University. When she’s not helping her clients, you’ll likely find her cooking, spending time with friends and family or cheering on the WSU Cougars.

Jessica Black comes to us from the Fort Worth Texas area, but will challenge any Texan stereotypes you may have with her patience, kindness, and funky glasses. However, we can neither confirm nor deny whether Jessica holds a concealed carry permit, so you better talk nice! Just kidding of course. Jessica has worked in a chiropractic office before, handling all aspects of patient relations and billing with grace and style. She also plays a mean bass guitar which will come in handy in any upcoming MCM jam/open mic nights we may have in the future! Stay tuned...

Donny is a Portland-based graphic designer and artist, and is responsible for the visual impact of the MCM physical and virtual space. From the art on the walls, to the walls themselves, Donny has been involved in every aesthetic decision at MCM. He began his artistic journey as a little boy, playing with Lego and drawing whatever Bob Ross was painting on PBS. From his first “jobs” in junior high when he realized that friends and relatives would pay for drawings, to a brief stint at a major record label in Nashville working as a graphic designer; from opening his first coffee shop to starting a small publishing company--all these random jobs and career paths have woven their way into the fabric of this key member of the MCM Team.
